i have the usual sets in PvP:

40/40 for whatever attribute
+30/-2 set
Defensive / casting (martial wep w/ +5e, Shield)
Anti spike set & shields (martial wep w/ 15%/-5 and shields with +10AL vs every kind of damage)

in PvE, it's a little less complex. i carry 55 stuff, + energy set, + health and armor set (defensive.)

I go with wand + focus, 20/20 each.

PvE:

Blood:
+5e, 20/20, 20% enchant staff

Curses:
2x 20/20

Death:
+5e, 20/20, 20% +1 death magic staff
(I never got around to making a 20 HSR, 15/-1 & 15/-1, 20% +1 death magic swap set, and the nerf to soul reaping makes it kinda unnecessary nowadays. )

55:
Totem Axe & -50hp focus

Oh, you asked for it! Here is my ever-expanding weapon collection:

Death:

(My main MM set)

(High-e MM set, rarely used after SR nerf. This is also a green-only combo)

(an extra, replaced by the claw cesta above)

(I dunno, a 30e staff, never used)

Blood:

(Green-only combo)

Curses:

(My favorite staff, alas this is soon to be replaced with a Tormented staff)

Soul Reaping:

(not really used, so not rigged properly)

+5e sword (for 55ing. You know what the offhand looks like)

Ive never really used weapon sets, just use ghails staff as a rule when i MM, Milthurians when use blood and some green staff from factions when i SS. In PVE i just dont really see the need for mutliple weapon sets

Question: Do you really like the wailing wand skin?
If not, I'd get the 20/20 crafted wand and perfect salvage that inscription to use on a staff.

^ While it's not a pretty skin, I do find its earthiness appealing.

I hear what you're saying, but I'm not into staffs.

Besides the 20+energy combo on a staff, wand + offhand is usually superior

I still use a 20+staff though only cause I got tired of the 40%hsr not kicking in when I want it to >:-l I have a high energy wand/offhand set that's come in handy a million times. I'm not a fan of 1+ attribute mods....the difference they add is extremely minor. I'd say mm's benefit from it the most but I still don't bother with it...you can probably test how much extra damage a lvl19 minion does to see if it's worth it, er somethin.

I usually still take looks over stats if it's somethin minor =p

^ True...it's annoying when the "kick-in" isn't timely. However, it generally pays dividends.

Stonereaper is a bad staff for Curses...
Not for it's effect but for the damage type.
Spinal Shivers/Shivers of the Dread are rendered useless with it.

Myself I use this...

What can I say... I'm a green Lover

there is going to come a Destroyer Staff in the collection as well...
Still saving :/
